THE MOUTH OF THE SOUTH

Growing up, I was called "the mouth of the south" and my cousin, Amy, was called "the mouth of the north."

Joey seems to have all intentions of carrying on the title.

She is adding on a word or two a day.

Her two latest being "Belle" & "Beast." And not from watching the movies, mind you, but from reading the books. By the way, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy... she calls them all "Mickey". She says "Mickey" very clearly now. She says "Donald Duck" or "Duckey", and occasionally Minnie is called "Min", but for the most part, all things Disney are "Mickey".

Besides adding vocabulary, she is starting to really combine words.
She knows and uses "Where".
"Where Puppy?" When she hears the dog barking.
"Read Book." When she has just finished prying your hand open to give you a book and plopped herself on your lap.
"Topee" Which means "Stop it".
Sticking "Pease" on the end of everything she wants.

She also knows how to count to 3, but will only say 3. That is because when we say "One, Two, Three!!!", then we are going to swing her in the air at 3. She knows it, so sings along with the "Tree!" When I show her numbers or count with her, she is quiet for the 1 & 2, and then sings out the "Tree". So she has the concept, but only wants to join in on the fun number.
