YOU'RE GONNA WEAR THAT?

I was getting dressed this past weekend and put on my underwear, bra and then this slip.(thought you'd like to see her in it instead of me.)

Joey looked at me and said:
"Um... Mom, you're not going to wear THAT, are you?"

Me: (laughing) "No Joey, this is just for under my dress."
Joey: (visibly relieved) "Oh. Okay. Good."

ALLSTATE MIAMI BEACH 13.1 MARATHON

On your mark, get set... go!
This was a lovely half marathon. There was only about 2,500 participants I think and that was nice. At Disney, Grandpa joked that we really ran a marathon during the 1/2 marathon with all the running AROUND people we did.
You couldn't have asked for a more beautiful course or weather!
We started on Ocean Drive and 13th and ran across 195, back across 395 and ended right about where we started.
It was slightly chilly at 6:13 in the morning, (the race start time) I think in the low 60s.
Beautiful blue skies, not a cloud in sight!
Instead of starting corrals, they had pace guides. They looked like tour guides, holding their little time flag sticks so you could see it way above the crowd. You just lined up according to your expected finish time, totally honor system. And it worked! You have less unnecessary passing that way.
I stopped occasionally, for a few seconds, to take a pic of some of the gorgeous scenery.
They had great live entertainment and cheer squads and high school bands along the way. Really does give you spirit!
And, since it wasn't crowded, you could see the camera guys as you approached them and put a smile on your face, just in time for the photo op!
Running down the boardwalk... almost there!
I can see the finish line now!
 Yeah!!!!

This was only my second 1/2 marathon, and the first one I did solo. (Chris has runner's knee and dad didn't enjoy the crowds of the Disney one so opted out of this one.)

I'm having issues with my left foot, so I'm laying off for a while. But I've already signed up for the wine & dine 1/2 marathon in November. See ya real soon!
