OLD MCDONALD

Joey & I were sitting in the van waiting for Mark to make a quick run into Publix.
I wasn't really paying attention as Joey began to sing Old McDonald had a farm.
That is, until she sang:

"And a boogie here, and a boogie there. Here a boogie, there a boogie..."

I turned around to find her diggin' for gold, and singing about it!

THE MOST MAGICAL PLACE ON EARTH

We're BACK!
Well, you see, what had happen was...
When we went to buy a 1 day admission in April, the cost was about the same as the Florida 3 dayWILD pass (not the same thing as a Florida 4 day play) so we bought that instead. (I'm usually the royal sense of the word "WE" here. Thanks Grandma & Grandpa!)
But the WILD pass expires 5/25, so we went back to use up our other days Mother's day weekend.
(For those of you counting along at home, that is 3 times this current baby has been to Disney IN UTERO!!)
Joey's favorite thing about Magic Kingdom isn't a ride, it's meeting the characters.
WARNING!! They have changed the FASTPASS rules! They no longer except them PAST the time window. Almost had a problem but I was firm and they made an exception. (They made this change in March.)
It's great that you can FASTPASS Mickey and the Princesses.
This new indoor meet and greet format, I think, allows for a little more time with your princess.

Joey had a routine down. Hug, talk, sign book, picture by myself, now Mommy & Daddy can join me.

She told Rose that she was her favorite princess.

ANIMAL KINGDOM

We love to mix work and play!
We had to go to Daytona for the school food convention the last week of April. Well don't you know that is Disney is kinda-sorta on the way to Daytona (as a Dumbo crow flies.)

So we spent 2 nights at Ft. Wilderness and a day in Animal Kingdom.
Animal Kingdom really is a great place for meeting characters.
They are all in one spot, Camp Minnie Mickey, and the wait times usually aren't long.
Yes, that is Chris throwing up Mickey ears on Donald Duck.
Donald then threw him out of the picture, then made him come back and bow down to him.
Which Chris did.
 Joey LOVES Chip & Dale.
They are her favorite. She is more animated for them then any other character.
She's such a big girl now, she doesn't need the mom & dad in the picture anymore.
She runs up, gives em' a hug, gets her book signed, turns around and says cheese!

Waiting for the parade to start.
Very interactive, loved it!
Grandpa is a sucker for shoulder rides.
Grandpa is also the only man I know that can pull off camp pants without looking like a redneck.
Joey walked ALL of Animal Kingdom that day WITHOUT a stroller!
A fun day!

RIDE FOR KIDS 2012

The Craven- Meyers volunteer team for 2012 consisted of:
Chris, Terry, Andy, Me, Dad, Mark, Rick, Kaki & Susie.
We made up 3 registration teams, Kaki did checks and Andy and his sister, Susie were parking lot greeters. We cover it all!
As Joey would say, that's a lot a much bikes!
But we always remember to have fun!

BABY PLAYLIST

I have really been jammin' to my baby playlist.

Baby Mine (Dumbo)
Anything Like Me (Brad Paisley)
You'll Be In My Heart (Tarzan)
In My Daughter's Eyes (Martina McBride)
The Best Gift (Barbara Streisand)
Tough Little Boys (Gary Allan)
Your Mother and Mine (Peter Pan)
Love Without End, Amen (George Straight)
Mickey Mouse March

Why the Mickey Mouse March you might say?

It's kind of like my version of the Lord's Prayer... it can go on the end of anything.
(Eat, Sleep & Breath Disney even before birth.)

BEACHIN'

I already posted the other pictures from our trip to Naples to visit Bob & Sally, but I had forgotten about the ones on Mark's little camera. So this is Naples, part 2.

Our Grandpa's Mickey Mouse sandcastle was a huge hit!
Check out where's waldo in the background.
She did really good for her 1st time swimming in a while!

WHAT'S IN A NAME?

Well, I have less then 2 months to go and we are still way up in the air with names.

We have some ideas for girl names, but we are pretty undecided with boy names.

For a boy, we still like Keith, but as a rule, we like longer names (for them to grow up into) with shorter nick names...which you can't do with Keith. We have also considered Robert James, after my two grandpas (call him Bobby). Nicholas (Nick).

For a girl, we still like Elizabeth, but are not as thrilled with some of the nick names (I like Lizzie best.) We have also considered Danielle (Dani, although Joey says she'll call her Dan), Katelyn (Katie- not thrilled with a name ending in "N" since there are so many friends and family kids names around us that end in "N"), Samantha (Sam & Sammy), Gabrielle (Gabby- not thrilled with that nickname), Allison (Allie- same problem with "N" sound.)

(Absolutely no names that begin in M or J as we already have Joey and everyone else starts with a M. I just don't do that.)

We didn't settle on Josephine until a few weeks before she was born. We really like to over think the name thing and work it from every angle!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY

I explained to Joey this morning that it was Mommy and Daddy's anniversary; that it was the day we got married.

Joey: "I want to marry Daddy."
Mommy: "No, you can't marry Daddy, I already married him. you have to wait till you're grown up and marry somebody else."
Joey: "Who will I marry?"
Mommy: "We don't know yet sweetheart. When you're older you'll meet a boy."
Joey: "I don't want to marry a boy! I want to marry a little girl."
Mommy: "Well you can have this conversation with your daddy when you're older."
Joey: "Is Maddie going to get married?"
Mommy: "Yes, I supposed so. When she's older."

WORST 1ST MOVIE

Mark and I are different. (not normal, crazy... pick an adjective.)
So while most parents are marking the babies first kick in the womb, we are marking down it's first movie, in utero.

For Joey, it was Indian Jones & The Crystal Skull.
But that was totally not our fault. We saw it opening weekend and didn't know how bad it sucked and that there were aliens in it.

For the current baby (I call Bozo, Mark calls it Rufus) it was Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 1.

So I put this question to you:
Which is the worse movie?

Everyone with a penis has so far said Twilight.
The best response I have received so far has definitely been from Uncle Chris.

"If they released a recently discovered clip of Hitler Manscaping... I'd still say Twilight!"
